Miguel is based out of Portland, OR. He is currently a Senior Narrative Designer at Bungie, working on Destiny 2. Previously, he was a Narrative Designer at Magic: The Gathering, a partner at Massif Press, and the lead narrative designer of Lancer.

Narrative Design and Worldbuilding

  • End-to-end experience leading and working collaboratively on AAA design teams, building engaging and mechanically-relevant worlds packed with compelling narrative hooks, rich lore, and vibrant characters.

  • Collaborative work across in-house teams and external vendors to ensure unified tone and canon agreement across products.

  • Pitch, develop, plan, write, and edit short- and long-form, player-facing fiction and creative text; writing for multiple channels of storytelling, including conventional web-published text, podcasts, trailers, and games.
